Subject: Partnering to Support Children with Autism – ABA Services Available
Dear Organization,
I am excited to introduce Educational and Therapeutic Care Services, LLC & Growing Minds ABA Therapy Center. We will be new providers of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with autism ages 1–12 in Waukegan, Zion, and North Chicago, Illinois.
We provide:
- In-home ABA therapy delivered by Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)
- Telehealth parent training and supervision by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Individualized treatment plans and progress tracking
We will soon be accepting Aetna insurance and enrolling a small focused caseload of 3–5 children in our new autism program. In addition, we will have Blue Cross, United Healthcare, Medicaid, Cigna, and Humana insurances. We have a target date of January 2026 to begin practicing. Our certified employees will schedule appointments for home, schools, or clinics.
We would love to collaborate with your school/clinic to support children who could benefit from ABA therapy. I can provide brochures, referral forms, and schedule a telehealth introduction or parent info session if desired.

Our mission is to provide high-quality, accessible, and culturally responsive Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children ages 1–12 with autism, with a special focus on underserved children of poverty and Black and Brown children affected by poverty and reliant on Medicaid and Medicare.
Lake County has experienced a rise in autism diagnoses, yet access to affordable ABA therapy remains limited. Families face long waitlists, high costs, and a lack of culturally responsive care. Educate Therapy Services will address these gaps by offering accessible, inclusive, and family centered services.
High Need for Services
•Waukegan/North Chicago have large populations of underserved families, including Medicaid recipients, African-American and Latino children, and immigrant communities—many of whom may not have easy access to ABA therapy.
•Illinois has a relatively high autism diagnosis rate, and the CDC notes ongoing increases in diagnosis, especially in communities of color where services have historically been limited.
- Mission Statement Delivering compassionate, evidence-based ABA therapy and family support services that empower every child with autism to thrive, regardless of race, income, or insurance status.
- Vision Statement A future where every child with autism in Lake County receives timely, effective, and culturally affirming therapy services that promote lifelong development, dignity, and inclusion and decrease in local, state, and federal criminal justice systems.
- Organizational Goals – Open and fully staff a nonprofit ABA therapy clinic by May 2026 – Serve 15–20 children ages 1–12 in a community-based setting – Prioritize Black and Brown children enrolled in Medicaid/Medicare – Employ licensed BCBAs and RBTs who reflect the community – Partner with schools, pediatricians, and social services to provide wraparound support
- Services Offered – One-on-one ABA therapy (individualized treatment plans) – Group social skills sessions – Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) – Parent training and education – Family case management and support – Community workshops on autism and early intervention Speech Pathologist, & Occupational Therapist
- Target Population Children ages 1–12 diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, with an emphasis on: – Black and Brown children – Families living below the poverty line – Medicaid and Medicare recipients – English and Spanish-speaking families
- Age-Based ABA Curriculum Framework To ensure developmentally appropriate and effective therapy, Educational & Therapeutic Care will implement age-specific ABA curricula:
Ages 1–5 (Early Childhood) – Curricula: Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R – Focus: Language development, play-based learning, daily living skills, early social engagement
Ages 6–9 (Elementary) – Curricula: VB-MAPP (as needed), PEAK, AFLS (basic modules) – Focus: Communication, academic readiness, peer interactions, emotional regulation
Ages 9–12 (Upper Elementary) – Curricula: AFLS (advanced modules), PEAK, Social Thinking Curriculum – Focus: Executive functioning, problem solving, independence, social cognition, community integration
Group Learning Enhancements (All Ages) – Social skills groups using Skill streaming and
Social Thinking methods – Peer modeling and generalization activities
